1. ECU Remapping
  2. ECU Remapping & Tuning

All modern Cars and Vans are fitted with an ECU or ECM (Electronic control unit/module). This is essentially the engines brain, a built-in processor which receives signals and readings from various sensors on the engine. By taking a read of the software installed on the ECU known as the “map”, we can then modify the map and customise it to suit your need. We then write the modified map back on to the ECU. We have Remapping / Tuning solutions for Cars and Vans of almost every make on the road.

With the ever-evolving world of the Agricultural and plant machines we can take advantage of these modern systems to enhance performance, while also aiding with fuel savings. We see very good results from remapping and tuning tractors and construction machinery. With plant machines working in difficult and harsh conditions running such complex systems we are finding systems are failing such as AdBlue, EGR & DPF problems, causing costly repairs and down time on machines. With the latest, genuine tooling we can provide tuning files to remap your Agricultural and Construction Machines Safely and Efficiently keeping your valuable machine working on site.

    Truck Remapping

With the ever-harsh running conditions found on today’s roads and tight deadlines that fleet operates need to work within an HGV remap can make all the difference. We see very good results from remapping and tuning HGV Lorries. With lorries covering hundreds of thousands of miles each year, even a small fuel saving can make a huge difference. With the latest, genuine tooling we can tune your HGV, Truck, Lorry Safely and Efficiently keeping your valuable asset on the road.

Some of the befits of ECU remapping are: more horse power, more torque, improved fuel economy, smoother power delivery, safer overtaking, etc. Contact us to see how a remap will improve performance of your vehicle.

  3. DPF Delete
  4. What is a DPF Filter? (Diesel Particulate Filter)

A DPF Filter is made up of precious metals in a honeycomb shaped element. It’s fitted to the vehicles exhaust system and is designed to catch soot particles from the exhaust gases. It is a self-cleaning filter which is carried out by a process called regeneration (regen for short), which is controlled by the engines ECU. There are many factors that need to be reached in order for the filter to be successfully regen’d, No faults stored in the ECU, Exhaust gas temperature to be within the correct parameters, Exhaust back pressure to be within the correct parameters and much much more. If for any reason these factors are not met then it is likely that the regen process will fail and the filter will not be successfully cleaned as it should be, causing it to become blocked. At this point the filter is “cleaned” or even worse “replaced” which buys you a short amount time until it blocks again, as the root cause has not been fixed, which ends up costing the consumer (you) time and money.

    Do you have DPF issues?

If your vehicle or your client’s have DPF issues and is stuck in limp mode with warning lights on the dash, we can offer DPF files that resolve these issues and a mobile service to help rectify your issues.

    Issues caused by failed regen's
    • Increased fuel consumption
    • Heavy smoke from the exhaust
    • Excess diesel being injected into the cylinder
    • Passing of excess diesel into the engines oil sump
    • Contaminated engine oil with diesel
    • Engine wear due to contaminated engine oil
What is done when doing a DPF delete?
    • Removal of the DPF internals
    • Recalibrating the ECU to remove the DPF functions to stop any further attempts of regeneration
What are the advantages of a DPF Delete
    • Improved fuel economy
    • More performance
    • Lower exhaust gas temperatures
    • Less engine wears
    • Reduced servicing costs
  5. EGR Delete
  6. What is an EGR Valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve)?

An EGR valve recirculates exhaust gases back through the engine’s inlet manifold at various engine RPMs controlled by the ECU. Some are vacuum controlled and some electronically. Why recirculate dirty exhaust fumes back through the inlet manifold? Believe it or not this lowers the combustion temperature which in turn lowers the amount of NOx (nitrogen oxide) produced by the engine. Due to the dirty fumes passing through the EGR valve and inlet manifold this can cause a carbon build up. In turn this can block the EGR valve, causing it to stick open. When this happens, it floods the engine with exhaust gases causing running issues and can even cause the engine not to start. Due to the complexity of the modern day EGR valves they have become very expensive to repair and or replace. Electronic EGR valves often share the same 5v reference voltage as many of the engine’s vital sensors. If the electronic part of the valve fails, this can cause multiple faults not only including limp mode but also a no start situation.

What is done when doing an EGR delete?
    • Blanking the EGR valve – Stops gases being passed back through the inlet manifold
    • Recalibrating the ECU to remove the EGR function and or the valve is programmed to remain closed at all times
What are the advantages of an EGR Delete
    • Improved MPG
    • Improved performance
    • Clean / cooler air entering the engine
    • Reduced servicing costs
    • Reduced carbon build up
  7. AdBlue Delete
  8. What is AdBlue / SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction)?

AdBlue / SCR is an emission-based exhaust after-treatment system, designed to lower NOx emissions. What is done when doing an AdBlue delete? We disable the AdBlue function from the ECU, in some cases we also need to get a read from the DCU (dosing control module). With this function disabled there will be no more warning lights, limp mode or even worse, no start condition.

    How does AdBlue work?

In short – The AdBlue / SCR System is made up from lots of components, AdBlue Tank, AdBlue Pump, AdBlue Injector, SCR Catalytic Converter. The system is controlled by the ECU / DCU and is monitored by many sensors which are very expensive to replace if faulty. UREA is injected into the SCR filter which in turn causes a chemical reaction converting NOx gases into a Nitrogen / water vapour. The video below illustrates more in detail how AdBlue works.

    Do you have AdBlue Issues?

It is very common for AdBlue faults to cause a non-start condition, if this is the case and your Car, Van or Tractor is in a situation where it will not start or the vehicle is in limp mode with warning lights on the dash, we are able to provide our AdBlue delete solutions to both tuners and general public on a mobile basis.

  9. Speed Limiter Removal
  10. What is a Speed limiter and why does my vehicle have one?

  11. DSG and ZF Gearbox Remapping
  12. VAG DSG & BMW ZF Gearbox Tuning / Remapping

Arguably one of the finest automatic gearboxes to be made. Split second gear changes, silky smooth gear changes, predicting the drivers next move are just some of the advantages. As with all OEM system, they are restricted. Our custom tuning allows us to unlock the DSG’s full potential, below are some of the modifications we make. A DSG remap is recommended when carrying out a stage 2 remap on VAG vehicles

    Increase torque limiters

We can increase the torque limiters of the gearbox to match that of the engine, meaning you are getting the full potential from both engine & gearbox.

    Launch control

We can calibrate the TCU to activate launch control, get the perfect take off every launch and lower your 1⁄4 Mile times or just add to the fun factor – (If applicable).

    Faster shift speeds

We can improve shift time by up to 20%, improved acceleration and less lag, smother gear changes from both the paddle flaps and auto mode.

Shift set points & Raised RPM limits

RPM limits and shift set points can be adjusted in drive and sports mode. Adjusting the rpm limiter as part of the engine ECU remap is not enough on a DSG equipped vehicle.

    Full manual mode

This allows us to calibrate the TCU to allow you to have full control on when the DSG changes gear, no unwanted up/downshifts.
